Every feature, every easter egg and every trophy, with how to find it and what it does. new means recently added; shared means classmates see it live; trophy means it earns one.

Says good morning/evening with your name. Everyone gets a random class name ("Gleaming Molar") until they pick one; it's what shows on every leaderboard.
Tap "Pick your name" / "Change name". "Go back to a random name" undoes it.
Your handpiece medallion, rank and level (e.g. Gold II), total XP, your place in the class ("#2 of 106"), a bar to the next level, and a Mastery row with your medals.
Your tooth buddy's home: his health bar, a status line, and buttons for a joke, a checkup and a secret tip. More in Part 6.
A giant countdown ("Today", "3 days") to the next exam that flips like a departure board: through each day that passed since your last visit, or in from blank, with Start studying and Daily drill buttons, and every other exam in the next 14 days underneath. On the right: your progress in that hub and your last two weeks of study days with your streak and weekly accuracy.
The day before an exam and the morning of it (until 2 pm), a row lets you send luck once per exam. It shows how many classmates sent it and the latest names.
One card per live hub, grouped by class: what it covers, its modes, your progress on this device, a Daily drill row, "Updated" labels when the hub changes, and Open. A hub archives itself at 10 pm on its last exam day: its card greys out with no Open button and disappears 10 days later.
From 8 am on exam day (or once the exam closes, for an exam open all day, like PCD Exam 3 until 8 pm) a "Check in" button appears on the hub card; from 10 pm a pop-up asks once. Short questions: how ready you felt, how it went, how the hub compared to the exam, and which topics or question formats it missed. Topics and formats only: please don't write out exam questions or answers, since the honor code keeps exam content private. The answers shape the next hubs.
Handpiece ranks (top 10 and the ladder of medallions), study streaks (days in a row), correct-in-a-row (longest live run and the all-time record), when people study (busiest hours) and arcade high scores for both hubs. Mastery medals show next to every name.
The green pill in the top bar counts classmates with a hub open right now.
After an exam, a shareable recap image of that hub (hours studied, accuracy, peak hour, the hardest question, awards) plays in a slideshow. Save image keeps it.
A timeline of every student-facing change, newest first.
Replies to your reports and suggestions (kept 90 days) and notices to the whole class (60 days). The top-bar button shows an unread count; new items pop up once in the bottom right.
The gear holds the same settings as a hub (below). The half-moon toggles light, dark or system theme.
At most one short survey (up to 5 questions) is live at a time. It pops up once on the dashboard; tap Later and it waits at the top of your Inbox (on every hub and the dashboard, with a dot on the Inbox button) until you answer it. Where a question offers Other, picking it opens a box to type your own answer.
A shared layer that every hub gets. On a computer it's the launcher in the bottom-right corner; on a phone it's the bottom bar (Search, Drill, Stats, More).
Searches the full text of the hub (notes paragraphs, review rows, exam hints, cram lines and questions) and jumps to the exact spot. Magic words typed here also work (that's how phones do the easter eggs).
Ten questions a day per hub, fixed for the day: spaced-review questions that are due, questions you missed last time, then high-yield ones the class finds hard, at most 3 per lecture. Each card says why it was picked. Finish for a results screen (the check draws itself, your score counts up, each question ticks in with a check or an X, and the drill streak rolls up when that set started today's streak), a "10 more" button and a drill streak.
The Drill tab (phone), the chip beside the launcher (computer), the drill buttons on the dashboard, or …/hubs/<hub>/#drill.
Answer a question and a wash of green sweeps across the right choice with a soft glow and a check mark that draws itself. A wrong pick shakes and gets an X, then the right answer lights up. Select-all and ordering questions mark each option in turn, matching pairs light up as they lock in, and the explanation slides open. Works wherever you answer questions: the question bank, Weak Spots and the Daily drill.
Get 3 right in a row and a flame appears in the bottom-right corner counting your run, with a ring that fills toward 100 (the tactical nuke). It grows and changes color as you go: orange at 5, red-hot at 10, blue at 25, violet at 50 and gold at 100. Miss one and it fizzles out in a puff of smoke. It counts the run on the page you're on, like the nuke.
Off with Settings → Surprises. It steps aside on the Mock Exam tab.
Progress bars fill from where they were instead of jumping. Switching modes, tabs and lectures fades the new page in. The exam countdown in a hub's top bar glows the day before an exam and pulses on exam day.
If your device is set to reduce motion, the hubs keep the check and X marks and the results cards and skip the rest.
Every question you get right comes back after 1, then 2, 4 and 7 days, never later than the day before the exam. Misses come back sooner. It feeds the drill and Weak Spots.
Your rank card, your mastery in this hub, your leaderboard flair, the trophy case, today's Golden Probe winner, Tooth Fairy collectors, the week's cavity finders, and Link my devices.
After you answer, the explanation shows what % of the class got it right. Explanations name the most popular wrong answer when it's a common trap.
A Report button on every question, plus one in the menu. When it's fixed you get a reply in your Inbox saying what changed.
Send an idea for the hubs. Replies come back the same way.
On Lecture Notes: pre-recorded narration of every lecture, at both reading levels, with seek, ±15 s, speed, resume where you left off, and lock-screen controls.
Controls that follow you new: scroll away from the Listen button while it's reading and a small player bar stays at the bottom of the screen with play/pause, a progress bar you can drag, the time and a stop button. Tap the lecture's name on it to jump back up. A classmate's idea.
Select any text in the Lecture Notes and tap Highlight to mark it in yellow. Your highlights stay put when you come back, at that reading level, and Listen still works over them. Tap a highlight to remove it, or to clear every highlight in those notes. A classmate's idea.
Highlights are saved on this device only, so they don't follow you to another phone or laptop. If a lecture's notes get rewritten, its old highlights are cleared rather than landing on the wrong words.
A podcast episode for the night before the exam, hosted by Timmy Tooth (deep voice, small tooth). He walks through every lecture on the exam in the order the questions are weighted, quotes what the professors said would be tested and what to skip, and finishes with a lightning round where you answer out loud before he does. Music, chapters you can jump between, speeds from 1× to 2×, ±15/30 s, resume where you left off, and lock-screen controls. It keeps playing when you switch tabs or modes, with a small player pinned to the bottom of the screen. Listening counts as study time.
The episode card sits at the top of Compendium. It's also under Timmy Time in the hub menu (More on a phone), and on the hub's dashboard card. First episode: MSK Exam 4 (42 min). The file is big (about 30 MB), so it only downloads when you press play.
Lecture Notes come in two reading levels: the professor's wording, or a plain-English rewrite. Each has its own narration.
"Show mind map" under each lecture draws its outline as a branching tree.
Font (Default, Serif, Sans) · Text size (Small to XX-Large) · Background sound (Soft rain, Ocean waves, Coffee shop, Lo-fi keys, Piano) · Accent (colors and metals you unlock by rank) · Surprises (easter eggs, the streak flame and the rank, trophy and medal pop-ups on/off) · Timmy Tooth (Everywhere / Dashboard only / Off) · Nuke alerts (hide other people's strikes) · your display name.
Your name (and rank numeral) sits in each hub's top bar with a pencil to change it.
"Add to Home Screen" gives a Gold-handpiece app icon and opens full screen. Pages load from cache when the connection is bad.
Each hub has three modes in its top bar. Tabs vary slightly by hub; these are Perio's.
Course Home (quick-start row, countdown, progress, course map, grade breakdown) · Lecture Notes (two reading levels, Listen, mind maps) · Question Bank (filter by lecture, type and source; exam-review sets; suture diagrams) · Mock Exam (exam-length, timed, exam format) · Weak Spots (your misses and what's due) · Active Recall (hide-and-reveal flashcards) · Cram Sheet · Exam Hints (the professors' own words).
Multiple choice, select-all with partial credit, matching, ordering, two-statement, EXCEPT / NOT, Patient Box cases and picture questions, each in the exam's own format.
Tapped a step by mistake? Undo last step takes back your latest tap and Start over clears them all. Both show up once you've tapped a step and go away when the question is graded.
In the Occlusion hub, drawn diagrams (the envelope of motion in three planes, the fence post, cusp pathways on a molar, and which cusp inclines collide) sit under the Lecture Notes and in Review, and about 20 questions ask you to read one, the way the exam does: "the MIP contact is at the base of the arrow." The PCD Fixed Pros Exam 3 hub has them too: the Munsell color solid, additive vs subtractive color, specular vs diffuse reflection, veneer prep designs and the dog leg, the papilla rule, crown-sectioning cut paths and the bonding "Lego" chain.
Interactive diagrams new: the MSK Exam 4 hub has two you can play with, under the notes and in Review (the junction under Drugs, the sarcomere under Muscle). The neuromuscular junction (L32): pick no drug, succinylcholine, rocuronium, rocuronium reversed by neostigmine or by sugammadex, or botulinum toxin, and watch where it acts, what happens to the end plate, the Na+ channels and the muscle, and how the train of four looks. The sliding sarcomere (L31): drag the slider (or press Play) and the thin filaments slide toward the M line while the I and H bands shrink and the A band stays put. Tap any part for what it is. Seven picture questions in that hub show one of them with a part highlighted, and an in-class review question uses a drawn block of skin (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, a hair follicle with its sebaceous gland and arrector pili, a sweat gland and the blood vessels) with one structure labeled new.
Submit a mock exam and a results card opens: your score counts up while a ring fills (gold at 90%+, green at 75%+), a one-line verdict, your best mock in that hub on this device ("New personal best, up from 72%"), and a bar per lecture so you can see where the misses were. 90% or better gets a celebration. "See what I missed" jumps straight to the questions you got wrong; "Review answers" shows them all.
Every reference table for the course in one place, searchable, with a "hide answers" switch to quiz yourself.
Nine games per hub (next part). Games built on the question bank count toward your stats, XP and Timmy's health.
Every game has a class-wide high-score board. The MSK games were reskinned for Exam 4, the Occlusion midterm and PCD Fixed Pros Exam 3 (same nine games, new material); the Exam 3 Bone Zone boards stay on the dashboard's arcade panel.

10 XP for a question you get right for the first time, 2 for a repeat right answer, 1 for a miss (answer XP caps at 600 a day), plus 20 for every day you study. Counted across every hub.
Seven handpiece medallions: Stone (start), Antique (300 XP), Bronze (1,500), Silver (5,000), Gold (12,000), Diamond (25,000), Dark Matter (50,000). Each has levels I, II and III.
A new rank (say Silver to Gold) plays a full-screen cutscene: your old handpiece shakes and charges up as light streams into it, flickers between old and new, then a flash and a shockwave reveal the new one with "RANK UP", what it unlocked (its accent metal, Timmy Tooth's house upgrade) and your next goal, to a riser, a boom and a fanfare. Tap during the build-up to skip ahead. A new level inside a rank (Gold I to Gold II) gets a smaller card that flips your medallion like a coin, rolls the numeral and fills that level's bar, with a chime. It shows on whichever page notices first (a hub or the dashboard), waits until a mock exam is over, and is off when Surprises are off.
Each rank unlocks its metal as an accent in Settings, which paints buttons, switches and progress bars in that metal's texture.
The share of a hub's question bank you got right on your latest try: Bronze 50%, Silver 75%, Gold 90%, Crown 100%.
Each mastery tier puts a medal (or a crown) next to your name on every leaderboard: rank, streak, correct-in-a-row, both arcades and Tooth Fairy collectors. Up to three show, best first, then "+N". Hover or long-press to see which hubs. A new medal gets its own card (below).
Trophies you earn by studying (First Hundred, Thousand Club, Full Week, Iron Routine, Sharp Explorer, Tactical, Mock Ace, Arcade Regular) and new mastery medals now pop up with a card: the medal spins in like a coin, a shine sweeps across it, sparks fly, and it says how many classmates have it. Secret trophies keep their own surprise. If a rank-up, a trophy and a mock result land together, they take turns.
Off with Settings → Surprises. They wait until a mock exam is submitted.
24 trophies in the Stats panel, 14 of them secret ("???" with a clue until you earn them). Each now shows the share of the class that has it ("61%", "<1%", "nobody yet"); tap one for the exact count. A "Psst" line under the grid gives a random clue for a secret you haven't found. Full list in Part 9.
Make a 6-character code on one device and enter it on another within 10 minutes; both then count as you (XP, streaks, trophies). Your question progress follows you too: questions you tried on your phone show up as tried (and right or missed) on your laptop the next time you open that hub, and the Daily Drill brings back misses from both. Answers you gave before linking come along. A hub also catches up when you come back to it after a few minutes away.
An optional cartoon tooth buddy. Settings → Timmy Tooth: Everywhere, Dashboard only, or Off. Nobody else can see him or his health.
Before you meet him he sits on your name on the dashboard ("Psst. Up here. Tap me!"). Tapping opens a four-step introduction: who he is, how to take care of him, the fine print (he can't die; he can be turned off) and moving in. Finishing or closing it adopts him; "No thanks" turns him off. Adoption follows you to your other devices.
In a house card on the dashboard, and in the bottom-left corner of every hub with a health bar. He hides during mock exams.
0 to 100 HP, worked out from your answers in every hub. Each right answer heals 0.8 HP (up to 30 a day), each day in a row adds a streak bonus (up to 10), and each skipped day costs 8, then 12, 16 and 20 HP the longer you're away. At 0 he can't die, but he heals at half speed until he's back to 50.
Below 70 HP: plaque. Below 55: brown stains and red, puffy gums (gingivitis). Below 40: a cavity. Below 25: periodontitis (recession, calculus, loose). Below 12: a cracked cusp. At 0: a bandage. Each goes away as he heals, and he thanks you.
Tap him for one of 73 dental jokes (plus holiday and fall jokes in season), a true tooth fact, one of his own thoughts, or a word about the outfit he's wearing; every few taps he gives a status update or a secret tip. "Tell me a joke" on his house is always a joke. Tap 5 times fast and he complains it tickles. "Checkup" opens his chart: health, today's answers, streak, every condition, and his house upgrades. He deals his lines from shuffled decks, so you hear a whole set before any line comes back.
He tells you how to find every easter egg, one at a time.
In order: the current holiday's word first (type fangs in October), then floss, mirror, Floss Chain, the Konami code, professor quotes, the Golden Probe, the Tooth Fairy, the Plaque Boss, Cavity Search, Full Arch, the root canal, Night Owl, the nuke, his own trophies, the trophy-case clues, and a stern warning never to type his name.
The "Secret tip" button on his house, every 4th tap, or sometimes as his hello in a hub.
He greets you differently by time of day, day of the week and month, and notices what's going on: a skipped day or a long absence, your study streak, a big day of questions, a second visit, an exam within the week, his own house upgrades, and how long you've had him (one week, a month, 100 days and more). He cheers at 3, 5, 10 and more right in a row, winces at misses, encourages you after a bad run and celebrates the comeback, comments when you switch modes, reacts to every easter egg, naps if you go idle for 3 minutes, nudges you to take a break on long sessions, and gives pep talks the day before and the day of an exam.
For every holiday and the fall weeks between them he has three or four outfits (hats, capes, wings, glasses, something in his hand), and he changes into the next one each time you open a page. All of them are listed in Part 8.
Gets an upgrade at each rank: picket fence (Antique), mailbox (Bronze), lamppost (Silver), gold trim and door (Gold), diamond windows (Diamond), a night sky (Dark Matter). A flagpole in the yard flies a pennant in the medal color of each hub you master, and any Crown mastery puts a crown on the roof. It also decorates for every holiday and season (Part 8).
Pearly Whites for getting him to 100 HP; Full Recovery for bringing him from 0 back to 100.
All of them switch off with Settings → Surprises and never appear during a mock exam. Magic words can be typed anywhere on a hub page (not in a text box), or into the hub's Search box on a phone.
These are the secrets. Want to find them yourself? Timmy's "Secret tip" button and the trophy case clues will nudge you. Otherwise, tick Show spoilers at the top.
Type floss.
A tooth pops up and does the floss dance.
Three or more people type floss in the same hub within one minute.
Everyone in that hub gets a row of dancing teeth with the flossers' names, linked by floss.
Type mirror. Type it again to flip back.
The whole hub flips left to right, the way the maxillary arch looks in a mouth mirror.
Type timmy on the dashboard or in any hub.
A 15-second show: the page goes dark and breaks apart, a crowned Timmy rises (his eyes follow your cursor; tap him to spin him), his name slams in letter by letter, mini Timmys rain down, and he puts a curse on your study session (his curses are not very good) before the page puts itself back together. Sound on recommended. Esc or the corner button ends it early. Not to be confused with Timmy Tooth, who has opinions about him and is scared stiff for five minutes afterward (wide eyes, trembling, nervous chatter).
Keyboard: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A. Phone: swipe up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, then tap twice.
8-bit mode: pixel font, chiptune blips on right answers. Do it again to turn it off.
Tap a professor's name 5 times quickly.
One of that professor's own exam-hint quotes pops up with their name.
Each day one taught question in each hub is secretly golden. Be the first in the class to get it right.
Gold confetti, your name on the dashboard and in Stats as today's finder, and a toast for everyone else in the hub.
Keep answering. Once in a while she flutters across the screen after an answer; tap her before she leaves.
A catch goes on the Tooth Fairy collectors board. Catch her once for one trophy, five times for another.
When 5 or more classmates are in the same hub at once, a Plaque Boss appears. Every right answer from anyone chips its shared health bar.
The person who lands the last hit gets the trophy. On holidays it wears a costume.
Each week a tiny dark spot hides in one paragraph of each hub's Lecture Notes. Find it and tap it.
The first five people to tap it fill the cavity and get the trophy; the Stats panel lists who found it. A new one hides every Monday.
Just answer questions. A small dental chart pops up in the corner: each right answer grows a tooth, each miss knocks one out.
Fill all 32 for confetti and the trophy. It happens once per hub; after that the chart is gone for good in that hub.
Get 10 wrong in a row, then 10 right in a row.
A toast, and the trophy.
Answer a question between 2 and 4 am.
An owl toast, the trophy, and a gentle suggestion to sleep.
Get 100 questions right in a row (in one sitting) to unlock it, then call it in.
A countdown and a blast that plays for everyone in the hub, with your name. On exam days it plays only for you. Settings → Nuke alerts hides other people's.
During a holiday, type its magic word (Part 8). Right now: fangs.
A parade of the holiday's shape across the screen (bats, leaves, snowflakes…) with confetti.
The trophy case has a clue for every secret, and Timmy's secret tips spell each one out.
Dates are Central time and switch on by themselves. During a holiday the confetti changes, the Plaque Boss wears a costume, Timmy dresses up (a different outfit each time you open a page) and has a whole set of holiday greetings, cheers and jokes (never the same one twice in a row), his house decorates, and the magic word works. In the fall weeks between holidays he has autumn outfits and lines too. Dates shown for this school year.

Mastery tiers (Bronze 50%, Silver 75%, Gold 90%, Crown 100% of a hub's questions right on your latest try) count the same way but show as medals by your name and pennants on Timmy's flagpole rather than in the 24.
